CHAPTER 3: A KINGDOM RESTORED

Weeks passed.

The truth came out piece by piece.

Years ago, a palace servant had conspired with outside forces to kidnap the real princess—Elara—and replace her with another child.

A child raised to believe the lie… until it became her identity.

The false princess was not innocent.

But she wasn’t the mastermind either.

Justice was served.

But it was not without sorrow.

As for Elara—

The transition was not easy.

Silk gowns felt strange.

Soft beds felt unfamiliar.

And every time someone bowed to her—

She flinched.

One evening, the King found her standing alone on the palace balcony.

“Do you hate me?” he asked quietly.

She turned, surprised.

“No… I just…” she hesitated. “I don’t understand any of this.”

He nodded.

“You were robbed of a life you deserved,” he said. “And I failed to protect you.”

Elara studied him.

This powerful man.

Broken.

Regretful.

Human.

“You didn’t know,” she said softly.

“That doesn’t make it easier to forgive,” he replied.

She stepped closer.

“I don’t need a perfect father,” she said. “I just need a real one.”

His eyes filled with tears.

Slowly… carefully…

He reached out.

And this time—

She didn’t pull away.

Months later, the kingdom gathered once more in the grand hall.

But this time—

There was no fear.

No lies.

Only truth.

Elara stood at the center, dressed in royal white—not as a symbol of power…

But as a symbol of survival.

The crown was placed gently on her head.

And as the people bowed—

She didn’t look down on them.

She looked at them.

Because she had once been one of them.

May you like

And she would never forget.
