CHAPTER 2: The Lie That Built an Empire

Three hours later.

Interrogation room. Cold. Silent.

Victor sat across from two agents, but his eyes weren’t on them.

They were on the screen.

Video after video.

Evidence. Deals. Conversations.

His voice.

His secrets.

Everything he had buried for years… surfacing.

“You built your empire on shadows,” one agent said.

Victor smirked faintly. “No. I built it on people who thought they were smarter than me.”

But then—

They played one more clip.

A woman’s voice.

Soft. Familiar.

The room shifted.

Victor leaned forward slowly.

May you like

“No…” he whispered.

Because the voice belonged to someone who was supposed to be dead.
