CHAPTER 1 — The Silence Breaks

The storm outside raged louder, but inside the Castillo mansion, no one dared to breathe.
Alejandro’s voice cut through the air like a blade.
“Security,” he said coldly into his phone. “Lock every exit. No one leaves.”
Vivian Moretti’s composure cracked for the first time.
“You’re overreacting,” she said, forcing a laugh. “It’s just a misunderstanding—”
“Three years,” Alejandro interrupted, his eyes never leaving Elena. “You made my wife disappear for three years.”
Elena stood frozen, her fingers trembling, her lips parted—but no sound came out.
She looked at him like she didn’t believe he was real.
Alejandro took a step forward.
She flinched.
That broke him.
“They told me you were dead,” he whispered. “I buried an empty coffin for you.”
Tears spilled down Elena’s face.
“I tried to come back…” she said softly. “She wouldn’t let me.”
Every servant lowered their heads further.
Vivian stepped down one stair.
“You should be careful what you accuse me of,” she said, voice sharpening. “Everything in this house runs through me.”
May you like
Alejandro smiled—a terrifying, quiet smile.
“Not anymore.”
