CHAPTER 3: WHAT BELONGS TO HER

Hours later, the boardroom looked nothing like it had before.
Police filled the halls.
Executives were escorted out in silence.
Handcuffs gleamed under the same lights that once reflected power.
The CEO sat across from the girl, the pendant resting between them.
“I failed her,” she said, her voice hollow.
The girl shook her head. “You were lied to.”
Tears welled in the CEO’s eyes. “I should have known. Elena would never have abandoned this… or me.”
For a long moment, neither spoke.
Then the CEO straightened.
“And I won’t fail her again.”
She slid a new document across the table.
Ownership transfer.
Restoration of shares.
Full legal recognition.
The girl stared at it.
“This company,” the CEO said, “was built by your mother. It will now be protected by her daughter.”
The girl hesitated. “I’m just a kid.”
The CEO gave a small, sad smile. “So was she… when she changed the world.”
A pause.
Then—
“You won’t be alone,” the CEO added. “I’ll help you. Not as your boss… but as someone who owes your family everything.”
The girl looked down at the pendant.
Then back up.
“Okay.”
For the first time since she walked in, she smiled.
And just like that—
The smallest person in the room became the most powerful.
Not because she demanded it.
May you like
But because the truth made it hers.
