Mark didn’t move for a long time after whispering “Enough.”

The pickup truck cabin was dim, lit only by the glow of his phone screen. The hidden camera feed had been running for weeks—something he installed after noticing small inconsistencies at home. At first, he thought he was overreacting. Now, he couldn’t look away.

Inside the house, Sarah’s voice still echoed faintly through the audio feed—too calm, too practiced. The image of his mother sitting quietly on the kitchen floor stayed frozen in his mind longer than the video itself.

Mark finally exhaled, slow and heavy.

Then he pressed record save.
