Chapter 2: The Uninvited Truth

Clara gestured slightly, and the manager nodded.

Within seconds, the large screens around the ballroom flickered to life.

“What is this?” Andrew asked.

Clara’s gaze never left his. “The truth.”

Footage began to play.

Private conversations. Hidden cameras. Audio recordings.

Patricia’s voice—sharp, venomous—filled the room.

“She’ll never be good enough for you. We’ll make sure of that.”

Then Andrew’s voice.

Hesitant. Weak.

“You’re right… maybe this marriage is a mistake.”

Gasps erupted across the room.

Andrew’s face turned ghostly pale. “Clara, I—this isn’t—”

“You had months to tell me,” Clara interrupted.

Her voice didn’t rise.

That made it worse.

“You chose silence.”
