🍗🍟 Crispy Wings and Golden Fries Recipe

Ingredients

For the Crispy Wings:

  • 1 kg (2 lbs) chicken wings

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder (for extra crispiness)

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • ½ teaspoon chili powder (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Golden Fries:

  • 3–4 large potatoes

  • Cold water (for soaking)

  • Salt, to taste

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for extra crisp fries)

  • Cooking oil (for frying or baking)


Instructions

🍗 Crispy Chicken Wings

Oven Method (Extra Crispy):

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).

  2. Pat the chicken wings completely dry with paper towels.

  3. In a large bowl, mix baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and chili powder.

  4. Toss the wings with olive oil and seasoning until evenly coated.

  5. Place wings on a wire rack over a baking tray (this allows air circulation).

  6. Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.

Optional: Finish under the broiler for 2–3 minutes for extra crunch.


🍟 Golden Fries

  1. Peel and cut potatoes into even sticks.

  2. Soak in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. Drain and pat dry thoroughly.

  4. Toss with cornstarch and a pinch of salt (optional).

Frying Method:

  • Remove and let rest for 5 minutes.

  • Fry again at 190°C (375°F) until golden and crispy.

  • Season with salt immediately.

Baking Method (Healthier):

  • Toss fries with oil and salt.

  • Bake at 220°C (425°F) for 30–35 minutes, flipping halfway.
