2. Swallowing Whole Cloves Without Crushing

One of the biggest mistakes is swallowing garlic without crushing or chopping it. Garlic contains a compound called allicin, which forms when garlic is crushed or chopped.

If you swallow the clove whole, your body may not release enough of this powerful compound.


3. Cooking Garlic at Very High Heat

Garlic loses many of its beneficial compounds when cooked at very high temperatures.

To preserve its nutrients, try:

4. Not Letting Garlic Rest After Crushing
