The room turned.

Not physically.

Socially.

The same people who once admired Logan now stepped back—subtly, but unmistakably.

Distance became judgment.

One of the investors whispered, “Is this verified?”

The investigator answered calmly, “Every detail.”

Logan stood up too fast.

“This is manipulation!” he snapped. “She’s unstable—she always overreacts!”

Emily flinched again.

And that was enough.

Thomas stepped slightly to the side—not blocking her anymore, but standing with her.

“Say that again,” he said quietly.

Logan opened his mouth…

But no words came out.

Because now everyone was watching.
