It happened quickly after that.

The security team moved first—calm, precise, unstoppable.

Santiago tried to protest, but the words lost their power the moment handcuffs clicked around his wrists.

“You can’t do this to me!” he shouted.

My father didn’t even blink.

“I already have.”

Beatriz sank into the staircase, her wine glass shattering against the marble.

“This is a mistake…” she whispered.

“No,” I said, stepping forward for the first time without fear.

“This is the consequence.”

Outside, flashing lights began to paint the walls red and blue.
