“I want a paternity test.”

His voice was sharp, desperate, almost aggressive.

I stared at him, disbelief mixing with hurt.

“You already know the answer,” I said quietly.

“No,” he snapped. “I need proof.”

The doctor hesitated but nodded. “We can arrange that.”

Days passed like years.

Rumors spread quickly—he made sure of that.

He told everyone I had trapped him with another man’s child.

That I was desperate. Dishonest. Pathetic.

Even his family turned their backs on me.

And yet… he still came back for the results.

The hospital room was silent when the envelope was opened.

The doctor cleared her throat.

“The results confirm… with 99.99% certainty…”

She paused.

“These children are his.”

His hands began to shake.
