At Montrose Global Headquarters, Isabella stood before the floor-to-ceiling windows.
The city stretched endlessly below her.
Cold.
Controlled.
Untouchable.
Behind her, a dozen executives waited.
Lawyers. Analysts. Strategists.
All silent.
All ready.
“Report,” Isabella said calmly.
“Phase One completed,” her lead counsel replied. “All Cross family assets frozen. Media containment secured. Board members requesting emergency negotiation.”
“Denied,” she said.
No hesitation.
No emotion.
“What about Damian Cross?” another asked carefully.
Isabella’s reflection stared back at her.
