Chapter 3: The Doctor Who Didn’t Blink

The next morning, I took Noah to a private specialist—someone I trusted.
Dr. Harrison didn’t believe in “psychological shortcuts.”
After examining Noah and analyzing the fragments under a microscope, his face turned pale.
“What is it?” I asked.
He leaned back slowly.
“These aren’t common parasites,” he said. “In fact… they shouldn’t exist in a human digestive system at all.”
My jaw tightened. “Then how are they inside my son?”
“They’re not just surviving,” he said quietly. “They’re adapting.”
A long silence followed.
Then he added:
“And if they continue… they will eventually consume tissue from the inside.”
My vision blurred for a second.
Noah’s words echoed in my head.
“It’s biting me…”
Dr. Harrison lowered his voice.
“There’s only one way this could happen intentionally.”
I met his eyes.
“Someone is feeding them to him… repeatedly.”
That was the moment the last piece of doubt died.
