Reports: Iran's Injured Leader Reportedly Airlifted to Russia After Tehran Airstrike Injuries

Rising tensions in the Middle East have taken another dramatic turn following reports that Iran’s new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, was secretly transported to Russia for medical treatment after being injured during recent airstrikes in Tehran.

The reports, first circulated by regional media outlets, suggest the Iranian leader may have suffered significant injuries during the attack that targeted key leadership sites in the Iranian capital.

The strikes were part of a wider escalation in the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel.

According to multiple sources, the bombardment on February 28 hit a residential and leadership complex in Tehran, killing several senior figures and members of the Khamenei family, including the former supreme leader Ali Khamenei.

Mojtaba Khamenei, who was present at the location, reportedly survived but sustained injuries to his legs and arms.

In the days following the attack, Mojtaba Khamenei was named Iran’s new supreme leader. However, his absence from public appearances quickly sparked speculation about his health and ability to lead during one of the most dangerous moments in Iran’s modern history.

Officials in Iran have acknowledged that he was wounded but insist he remains alive and capable of governing.

Recent reports now claim that Khamenei was transported out of the country aboard a Russian aircraft for advanced medical treatment in Moscow.

Some sources suggest that Russian leadership may have offered medical assistance, though these claims have not been independently verified by international observers.

If confirmed, the move would highlight the deepening strategic relationship between Iran and Russia. Over the past several years, the two nations have strengthened cooperation in military, political, and economic areas, particularly as both face growing pressure from Western governments.
