Chapter 4: The Fall of Ravenshore

By dawn, Ravenshore was no longer a fortress.
It was a crime scene.
Police cars lined the long private drive—but this time, they didn’t belong to Grayson.
Federal agents walked through the halls. Evidence bags replaced champagne trays. Guests slipped out in silence, reputations already cracking.
Grayson Langford sat in the same library, wrists bound, staring at nothing.
For the first time in decades—
He had no control.
Across the room, Harper sat wrapped in a blanket, her injured hand carefully bandaged.
Dominic stood near the window, watching the sunrise.
“You could’ve destroyed him years ago,” Harper said quietly.
Dominic didn’t turn. “Yes.”
“Why now?”
A pause.
Then—
“Because you finally asked.”
Harper swallowed.
All her life, she had been told she was weak. Broken. Difficult.

It had been silence.
