Chapter 4: The Father Arrives
When Emily’s father stepped into the mansion, no one spoke.
He didn’t need to raise his voice.
“Is this how my daughter was treated?” he asked quietly.
No one answered.
Daniel tried anyway. “Sir, I think there’s been a misunder—”
“There was,” her father interrupted. “You misunderstood who you were dealing with.”
He turned to Emily, his expression softening.
“Are you hurt?”
Emily shook her head.
“No,” she said. “Just… finished.”
Her father nodded.
“Good. Then we walk away.”
Daniel stepped forward, desperation breaking through.
“Please—give me a chance to fix this.”
