The next morning, the lobby felt different.

Softer.

Mrs. Carter returned—this time, not as a secret.

Staff greeted her with genuine respect, not fear.

She smiled for the first time.

Before leaving, she turned to the man in the suit.

“Make sure,” she said gently, “no one is ever treated like that again.”

He nodded.

And outside, the same black SUV waited.
