Daniel removed his wedding ring.

Sophia’s breath hitched. “Daniel… please.”

“You humiliated the person who gave me everything,” he said quietly. “Not knowing her identity doesn’t excuse your cruelty.”

Tears streamed down her face. “I made a mistake—”

“No,” he replied. “You revealed your truth.”

He turned to his mother, gently taking her hand.

“I spent my life searching for where I belonged,” he said. “But I realize now… I’ve always had it.”

She smiled through tears.

Meanwhile, security—this time not for the elderly woman—approached Sophia’s parents.
