Chapter 3: The Fall of a King

The shift in power was instant.

The same guests who once admired him now watched him like a man already ruined.

His mistress slowly let go of his arm.

“Wait… you said this house was yours,” she whispered.

Ethan looked at her—desperate now.

“It is! This is just—this is some trick—”

“It’s not,” I interrupted.

I turned to the head of security, who had quietly stepped closer.

“Please escort them out.”

Ethan froze. “You can’t do this to me.”

I met his eyes.

“You already did it to yourself.”

Two guards approached.

His mistress stepped back first, panic replacing arrogance.

But Ethan resisted.

“You owe me!” he shouted. “I gave you my life!”

I shook my head slowly.

“No, Ethan… you gambled it.”

And finally—

They dragged him out.

May you like

Not as the king of the house…

But as a man who had just lost everything.
