Chapter 3: A New Beginning

Years later, in a smaller, more intimate setting—not a grand ballroom, but a beautiful garden filled with close friends and family—she stood once again in a cream-colored dress.
But this time, it felt different.
Peaceful.
Real.
Her son, now old enough to understand, stood proudly beside her, holding her hand.
“You look happy, Mom,” he whispered.
She knelt down, brushing his hair back gently. “I am. Because of you.”
At the end of the aisle stood Daniel, his eyes soft, steady—nothing like the man from her past. This was love without fear. Without betrayal.
Just before she reached him, she paused for a brief second—not out of doubt, but reflection.
She remembered the woman she once was… standing in that ballroom, heart shattered.
And she silently thanked her.
Because that woman had the courage to walk away.
As she stepped forward again, her son squeezed her hand.
And this time, when she placed a ring on someone’s finger…
It wasn’t out of hope.
It was out of certainty.
She didn’t just survive her heartbreak.

She rewrote her ending.
And it was beautiful.
