CHAPTER 1: THE FALL OF A QUEEN

The silence didn’t just linger—it suffocated.
For the first time in decades, Victoria Sterling had nothing to say.
Her empire—built on intimidation, precision, and absolute control—was unraveling not because of an enemy across the table… but because of the woman she had just tried to destroy.
“You’re lying,” Victoria whispered, but her voice betrayed her. It cracked.
Elena tilted her head slightly, her calmness more terrifying than any scream. “Count the seconds.”
Julian stood frozen between them, his world collapsing in real time. “Elena… what is she talking about?”
But Elena didn’t look at him. Not yet.
From outside, the distant sound of sirens pierced through the elegant music like a blade through silk.
One guest dropped a champagne glass. It shattered.
Then another.
Panic spread like wildfire.
Victoria staggered backward, her heels catching on the polished marble floor. “No… no, this isn’t possible. I built everything. I control everything!”
“You controlled people,” Elena corrected coldly. “Not consequences.”
The doors of the ballroom burst open.

“Federal Financial Crimes Unit! Nobody move!”
And just like that—the queen had fallen.
