CHAPTER 3: REDEMPTION

Blue and red lights flooded the ballroom windows.

The doors finally opened—but not for escape.

For justice.

Officers rushed in, controlled but firm, securing the room as stunned elites stood frozen, stripped of their power.

One by one, names were called.

One by one, they were taken.

He was among the last.

As they cuffed him, he turned to her—no arrogance left, only something raw and broken.

“Why?” he asked quietly.

She didn’t answer right away.

Instead, she walked toward the open doors, where the cold night air finally broke the suffocating tension.

Then she stopped.

“Because someone once begged you to stop,” she said without looking back. “And you didn’t.”

Silence.

That was his answer.

As he was led away, the weight of everything finally caught up to him—not just fear, but understanding.

And regret.

Outside, dawn was just beginning to touch the horizon.

The nightmare was ending.

She stepped out into the morning light, exhaling slowly—as if releasing years of pain in a single breath.

A black car waited.

The window rolled down.

An older man inside—calm, composed—looked at her with quiet pride.

“It's over,” he said.

She nodded.

“Yeah,” she replied softly. “It finally is.”

But then she glanced back at the ballroom one last time.

Not with anger.

Not even with satisfaction.

Just… closure.

As she got into the car, the city began to wake—unaware that, for once, power hadn’t won.

Truth had.

And somewhere, beyond wealth and influence—

Justice had finally found its way home.
