CHAPTER 2 â âThe Car That Didnât Stop Movingâ

Outside, the gala doors opened into a night washed in soft city lights.
A black Rolls-Royce waited at the entrance.
The billionaire carried her carefully, like she was something far more fragile than glassâsomething irreplaceable.
Inside the car, the world became quiet.
No chandeliers. No whispers. No judgment.
Just the faint hum of the engine and the girlâs uneven breathing slowly trying to calm itself.
She stared at the leather seat, afraid to touch anything.
âIs it okay?â she asked softly. âI might get it dirtyâŠâ
A pause.
Then he gently adjusted the seatbelt across her shoulders.
âThis car has survived worse than fear,â he said.
That made her blink.
A small, uncertain laugh tried to formâbut turned into a shaky breath instead.
For the first time, she noticed something else on the seat beside her.
A small lunch box.
Simple. Not gold. Not fancy.
Just carefully prepared food.
âI didnât know what you like yet,â he said. âSo I chose everything.â
