For the first time, I wasn’t afraid.

Forgery.
Conspiracy.
Kidnapping intent.
Beatriz’s name was all over it.
She collapsed into a chair, whispering, “We were just protecting the family…”
“No,” my father said coldly. “You were destroying mine.”
