Chapter 3: Brielle’s Last Play

Three days later, Brielle showed up at my Malibu villa.

Uninvited.

Unwelcome.

She stood in the driveway, sunglasses on, pretending she still had power.

“You’re being dramatic,” she said. “It’s just a house.”

“No,” I replied. “It’s the only thing I built that no one could take from me.”

She stepped closer, lowering her voice.

“You think you’ve won? Investors don’t like cold CEOs. They’ll turn on you.”

I smiled slightly.

“They already chose me.”

That’s when she dropped the bomb.

“I have buyers lined up. People interested in your company.”

Ah.

So that was her angle.
