Chapter 4: The Price of Cruelty

Isabella stared at the cold walls of the holding room.
No makeup.
No audience.
No control.
Her lawyer spoke rapidly beside her, outlining strategies, defenses, damage control.
But Isabella wasn’t listening.
For the first time…
she was alone with the truth.
The door opened.
Victor stepped inside.
She looked up, defiant. “If you think this ends me—”
“It already has,” he replied.
He placed a tablet in front of her.
Stock crashes.
Canceled deals.
Public statements distancing every major ally from the Rossi name.
Even her family had gone silent.
“You didn’t just attack Khloe,” Victor said. “You misjudged the cost.”
Isabella’s confidence shattered.
“They’ll recover,” she insisted weakly. “We always do.”
Victor leaned closer.
“No,” he said softly. “Not this time.”
Because this time…
May you like
she had chosen the wrong target.
And there was no coming back from that.
