By evening, the story had spread.
Every guest knew.
Every staff member knew.
Vanessa, once admired for her elegance and status, now felt eyes follow her with judgment instead of envy.
Daniel stood by the window in their suite, silent.
“Are you going to say something?” Vanessa whispered.
He didn’t turn around. “I thought I married someone kind.”
Tears filled her eyes. “I can change.”
Daniel finally faced her. “Change doesn’t happen overnight. And it doesn’t happen because you got caught.”
The next morning, Eleanor made her decision.
