CHAPTER 3: COLLAPSE IN SILK

Inside the presidential suite, laughter had turned into confusion.

Marcus’s mistress clutched the silk robe tighter around her body as staff began removing items—documents, devices, even artwork—from the room.

“Hey! What are you doing?!” she shouted.

“No longer authorized occupants,” a manager replied coldly.

Marcus stormed in.

“Stop everything! I didn’t approve this!”

“No,” came a voice behind him.

“You didn’t.”

He turned slowly.

And there she was.

Isabella.

Composed. Untouchable. Radiating a quiet authority that filled the entire room.

For the first time…

Marcus had no words.

“You always loved dramatic exits,” she said softly.

He scoffed. “You think this is your victory?”

She tilted her head.

“No.”

A beat.

“This is your consequence.”

Security stepped forward—not toward her.

Toward him.

“Mr. Marcus,” one said, almost gently. “We need you to come with us.”

His world, built on arrogance and illusion…

Was being dismantled in real time.
