PART 6 – The Night Everything Almost Broke

I thought it was over.

I was wrong.

At 4:07 a.m., Anna screamed.

I ran to the bedroom and saw her clutching her stomach, her face pale.

“The baby…” she gasped.

My heart dropped.

We rushed to the hospital, every second feeling like a lifetime.

Doctors surrounded her.

Lights. Voices. Chaos.

I stood outside the room, helpless.

Then one of the nurses asked quietly,

“Has she been under severe stress?”

I couldn’t answer.

Because I already knew the truth.

Hours passed.

Or maybe minutes.

I don’t know.

May you like

Until finally—

The doctor walked out.
