Chapter 14 - The Arrests.

"Objection!" Latham screamed over the noise, his face turning purple.
"This evidence was obtained illegally!"
Judge Vance smashed his gavel down with terrifying force, his face red with fury.
"Sit down and shut up, Mr. Latham!" the judge roared.
The courtroom doors banged open, and four armed FBI agents walked in, accompanied by a toxicologist.
"We received your anonymous tip, Ms. Moore," the lead agent said, looking up at me on my chair.
"We raided the warehouse an hour ago, and the facility is now an active crime scene."
Victor Hale tried to make a run for the side door, but a bailiff tackled him to the ground before he made it three steps.
Latham slowly sank into his chair, putting his head in his hands as the reality of his ruined career crashed down on him.
The judge looked at the agents, then back down at me.
"Ava Moore," Judge Vance said, shaking his head in disbelief.
"You just took down the untouchables."
