The heavy oak doors of the ballroom slammed shut, instantly silencing the string quartet and the frantic whispers of the wedding guests. Arthur stood at the threshold, an imposing figure draped in a tailored dark overcoat. Behind him, four men in sharp suits moved with military precision to secure the exits.

Julian’s arrogant sneer faltered. "Who do you think you are—" Julian started, taking a step forward.

Arthur didn't even acknowledge him. He walked straight past the groomsmen and knelt beside Clara on the cold marble floor. With alarming gentleness for a man of his ruthless reputation, he helped his daughter to her feet and wrapped his heavy coat around her shivering shoulders.

"Let's go home, sweetheart," Arthur murmured, his eyes scanning the room like a predator assessing a cage of mice.
