The silence broke as Julian's father, Richard, stormed forward, his face flushed with indignation. "You can't just interrupt a private event and threaten my family!" he barked, puffing out his chest.
Arthur slowly turned, his icy blue eyes locking onto Richard. He snapped his fingers once.

His lead associate stepped forward, slapping a thick, sealed legal dossier hard against Richard's chest. Richard reflexively grabbed it. "What the hell is this?"
"The end of your shipping empire," Arthur replied coldly. "In the fifteen minutes since my daughter called me, my syndicate triggered the toxic debt clauses attached to your commercial fleet." He checked his gold watch. "You officially went bankrupt three minutes ago."
