Elara stepped over Marcus's body, her face completely void of emotion.
She tapped her earpiece, reconnecting with her father.
"Target is neutralized, and I have the drive," she reported, walking out of the ruined master suite.
"Understood. Proceed to the roof for extraction," her father replied.
She walked through the penthouse, stepping over the subdued and restrained syndicate members.
The remaining extraction team members gave her a wide berth, their respect for her clearly solidified.
She found the access stairwell to the roof and began the long climb up.
Her muscles ached, and the adrenaline was finally beginning to wear off.
