The forged passenger manifest transformed an abandoned pregnant woman into a suspected accomplice before she could tell anyone what happened.
Daniel's attorneys released a statement saying the couple was traveling together and cooperating fully with an internal review.
They included an old photograph of Claire smiling beside him at a fundraiser.
Comments beneath the article called her spoiled, dishonest, and complicit, each judgment built upon a lie typed into an airport database.
Claire wanted to respond immediately, but Nora warned that Daniel needed her emotional and careless.
Adrian arranged a recorded statement with an independent attorney, not a public-relations employee under his control.
The attorney, Rebecca Sloan, explained that Claire should preserve evidence, avoid speculation, and say only what she could prove.
"People will believe him if I stay silent."
"Some will," Rebecca said.
"But a rushed denial can become a weapon if one detail changes."
Claire agreed to wait until airport surveillance and medical records confirmed she had never boarded the jet.
Meanwhile, Elena discovered that someone had accessed Claire's email from the aircraft's satellite connection.

Nora took over the negotiation and ordered Paul to surrender at a public location.
He agreed to meet at Union Station in one hour, carrying proof of the forged signatures.
Claire listened through an authorized conference line as officers prepared the controlled surrender.
Paul never arrived.
Security cameras showed him entering the station, looking over his shoulder, and approaching a locker.
A maintenance alarm forced an evacuation seconds later.
When officers reopened the station, the locker was empty and Paul was gone.

The number stamped into it matched a storage room at Daniel's lake house.
