The warrant for Daniel's lake house arrived shortly before sunset.
Nora led the search while Claire watched remotely from the hotel because her physician refused to approve another stressful trip.
Adrian stayed with Claire even though the evidence could determine whether his company recovered millions.
He never asked about her trust, and his restraint made Daniel's accusations seem increasingly hollow.
At the house, officers found freshly painted walls, empty closets, and computers stripped of their drives.
The brass key opened a narrow storage room behind the wine cellar.

Adrian warned Nora not to assume it was genuine.
Forensic specialists photographed every page and found Daniel's fingerprints only on the cover, while Paul Mercer's prints appeared throughout.
The ledger described bribes, false shipments, and accounts routed through charities.
It also identified Adrian's chief operating officer, Marcus Venn, as the insider protecting Daniel.
Marcus had worked beside Adrian for eleven years and helped build the investment firm after Adrian's father died.
Adrian said nothing when Elena read the name aloud.
His silence carried the pain of a betrayal he would not make Claire responsible for soothing.
Nora ordered discreet surveillance on Marcus rather than confronting him.
Within an hour, Marcus attempted to access the evidence database using an expired authorization code.
The attempt confirmed his panic but not the full scope of his involvement.
Claire examined a scanned ledger page and noticed monthly payments to a company named Larkspur Family Services.
The name belonged to the private agency Daniel had recommended for the baby's future nanny and medical support.
Further research revealed that Larkspur did not employ caregivers.
It specialized in contested guardianship cases and asset management for minors.
Daniel had been creating a legal path to control the baby's inheritance even if Claire escaped his financial scheme.
Rebecca discovered a draft petition describing Claire as emotionally unstable and dangerously influenced by Adrian.
The petition cited fabricated medical incidents and statements from a physician Claire had never met.
"He planned this before the airport," Claire said.
"Long before," Rebecca answered.
Claire's heartbreak hardened into resolve.
She authorized her trustees to block Daniel permanently, changed every verification protocol, and signed a truthful affidavit describing the tarmac abandonment.
That night, airport footage was released through the court record.
The video showed Daniel watching from the jet as his pregnant wife stood in the rain.
Public opinion shifted within minutes, but Daniel responded with a live-streamed message from an undisclosed room.
He claimed Adrian had staged the scene and kidnapped Claire.
