The tension in the room did not disappear—but it transformed.
Elara remained standing, composed, watching as the Cross family processed a truth they could no longer deny.
“This doesn’t get resolved in one night,” she said calmly. “It doesn’t get fixed with apologies or explanations.”
Richard nodded slowly. “Then tell us what comes next.”
Elara stepped toward the window, glancing briefly at the convoy outside before turning back.
“We start with transparency,” she said. “Business. Personal history. Everything you’ve buried.”
Victoria hesitated. “That could destroy us.”
Elara’s expression didn’t change. “Or it could finally make you real.”
Daniel crossed his arms, still defensive but quieter now. “And you? What do you gain from this?”
