One evening, Elara gathered them again in the dining room.
Not for confrontation.
For clarity.
“There’s something you still don’t understand,” she said.
Richard looked at her. “What is it?”
Elara placed another document on the table.
Not a photograph this time.
Legal papers.
Victoria frowned. “What is this?”
“Elara Vance isn’t just a name I chose,” she said. “It’s a name that built something larger than you realize.”
Richard scanned the document, his eyes widening slightly.
“A controlling interest…” he murmured.
Elara nodded.
“In your company.”
Silence.
Daniel blinked. “You own part of this company?”
“Not part,” Elara corrected.
“Enough.”
The realization hit all at once.
This had never just been personal.
