Chapter 11: The Eye in the Sky

Clara sat in the darkened command center, a headset secured over her ears. In front of her, three high-definition monitors displayed live thermal and night-vision feeds from drones circling high above the Navy Yard. The rain had stopped, leaving a heavy, clinging fog rolling off the dark waters of the harbor.
On the center screen, Warehouse 42 sat ominously silent. A line of expensive, black-tinted luxury vehicles was parked discreetly at the rear loading dock.
"Comms check. Clara, do you read me?" Elias’s voice crackled crisp and clear in her ear.
"I read you, Elias," Clara replied, her hands gripping the edge of the console.
"We are in position at the perimeter," Elias whispered. "Marcus and the breach team are holding at the eastern access point. Stand by for the financial trigger."
Clara watched the screen intensely, zooming in on the warehouse's side entrance. A man stepped out to smoke a cigarette, the flare of his lighter illuminating his face in the night-vision feed. A jagged scar ran from his ear down his neck.
"It's him," Clara gasped, her heart skipping a beat. "Sullivan. He's at the north-facing side door."
"Copy that," Marcus's gruff voice chimed in over the radio. "Hold your positions. Let the hack do its work."
Down in the main pit, the lead cyber analyst struck his enter key with a definitive click. "Accounts frozen. Routing blocked. They should be getting the error messages... right about now."

On the screens, the quiet warehouse suddenly came alive with frantic movement. Thermal signatures inside the building began pacing erratically. Two armed men rushed out of the side door, frantically talking into their radios.
The chaos had begun.
