Chapter 17 - Boundaries and Healing

Healing is rarely a linear process. For Sarah, it meant establishing firm boundaries to protect her family's physical and mental well-being. She realized that while she couldn't control the outside world, she could control how they navigated it moving forward.
She sat down with Lily one evening, holding a brand-new medical alert bracelet. It was a delicate silver chain with a red emblem.
"This is your superpower bracelet, sweetie," Sarah explained gently, securing it around Lily’s small wrist. "It tells people that you have a special body that doesn't like peanuts. It helps keep you safe."
Lily examined the shiny metal. "Does it mean no more bad cookies?"
