Chapter 10 - A Humble Beginning
"Starting Monday," Eleanor said, holding his gaze, "you will report to the Front Desk as a Guest Services Coordinator. Your salary will be adjusted accordingly. You will wear the standard uniform, and you will learn, from the ground up, what it means to truly serve others without the shield of an executive title."
Brandon blinked, stunned. It was a massive demotion, a public humbling. Yet, as the reality settled over him, the suffocating anxiety he had carried for months—the constant fear of his lies being exposed—began to lift.

"If you can prove to me, and to yourself, that you can lead with humility and genuine care," Eleanor added, "we can discuss your future at this company. Do you accept?"
Brandon looked at the diamond ring, then back at Eleanor. For the first time all evening, he stood up straight. "Yes, Ms. Vance. I accept. Thank you."
