Chapter 18 - Morning Light When the sun came up, the mansion looked different.

Not because the marble had changed.
Not because the staircase was repaired.
But because the fear was gone.
Reporters waited at the gates. Lawyers entered through the side doors. Officers moved through the halls, collecting evidence, documenting the hidden rooms, and unlocking old secrets one at a time.
Elena stood in the foyer with Lily at her side.
The little girl pointed to the open floor hatch where everything had begun.
“It’s closed now,” she said.
Elena nodded.
“Yes.”
Julian joined them quietly.
For a long moment, none of them spoke.
Then Lily reached up and took both of their hands.
