Chapter 20 - The House Opened One year later, the mansion stood empty.

Its doors were open now.

No guards. No locked halls. No hidden rooms waiting to swallow anyone whole.

It had become a museum, then a memorial, and finally a place where survivors told the truth without fear.

On the anniversary of the raid, Elena brought Lily to the grand foyer.

The staircase still curved upward in elegant silence. The chandeliers still shimmered overhead.

It felt like a warning that had finally been answered.

Lily looked up at her mother. “Are we going home now?”

Elena smiled and crouched beside her.

“We already are.”

Across the room, Julian stood by the open doors, waiting—not commanding, not controlling, just there.

A man who had once said, “Nobody leaves this house.”
