Back at Vance Enterprises, the atmosphere was humming with a renewed sense of purpose. Eleanor sat in her office, reviewing the blueprints for a new, eco-friendly manufacturing facility.
A sharp knock at the door preceded Marcus’s entrance. He walked in, holding a thick manila envelope. While his demeanor was as professional as ever, there was a faint glimmer of satisfaction in his eyes.
"The legal team just sent this up, Eleanor," Marcus said, placing the envelope on her desk. They had transitioned to a first-name basis behind closed doors, a mutual respect having grown between them over the grueling past few months.
"The civil suit?" she asked, setting her pen down.

"Yes. And the district attorney has officially picked up the criminal charges for the wire fraud. He was served the summons at his apartment twenty minutes ago. It's airtight. They have the bank statements, the forged signatures, and the offshore routing numbers."
Eleanor touched the envelope lightly. She didn't feel a rush of vindictive joy, just a profound sense of closure. "Thank you, Marcus. Let the lawyers handle it from here. We have a green energy initiative to launch."
