Chapter 9 - The Boardroom CoupEleanor Sterling sat at the head of the mahogany conference table, attempting to project her usual aura of untouchable authority. When James entered, the heavy oak doors closing behind him with a definitive thud, the room fell silent.

"James," Eleanor said smoothly, though her eyes darted nervously. "You're late. We were just discussing your recent... erratic behavior. Taking a leave of absence might be best for the company."

She was trying to oust him before he could strike. James didn't blink. He walked to the projector, plugging in a flash drive.

"I'm not taking a leave, Mother," James said, his voice echoing off the glass walls. "But we are having a change in leadership."

He clicked a button, and a document flashed onto the screen. It was the forged divorce letter, placed side-by-side with Eleanor's handwriting analysis and the metadata of the digital file she had used to print it. The board members leaned in, murmuring in shock.
